Parking at Lowe’s Motor Speedway to see my first race. I saw the outside of the speedway, the banners, the fans, and LOWE’S MOTOR SPEEDWAY sign. I began to cry uncontrollably! I finally made it to a race and was overcome with emotion. I was crying so much that I could not compose myself to get out of the car. My kids were laughing, tailgaters were staring, but I could not stop the tears. With tears still rolling down my face I managed to get out of the car and walk towards the hallowed ground of LOWE’S MOTOR SPEEDWAY. To hear the roar of the engines was a dream come true and began to cry again. That day was filled with tears of joy and memories that will last a lifetime.

Unhappily married mother of 3 wonderful kids ages 21 and 12. My third child passed away in 1995. I always loved watching sports with my dad who gave me more insight into the games than anyone. However, NASCAR and Ice Hockey are above and beyond my 2 favorites. I forget how sad I am when I hear the roar of the engines during happy hour and qualifying or after “Gentlemen Start Your Engines”. What a adrenaline rush! There is not one part of this sport I do not like and for all those naysayers out there “NASCAR IS A SPORT”. If someone does not like it, change the channel and watch Football, Baseball, etc. or in other words “STEROIDS 101!”

I do like Football, Baseball, Hockey, Basketball, College Basketball, College Football.
I collect all sport cards, 1/64 scale Jeff Gordon Cars and any and all Jeff Gordon merchandise.
