Hey, hey, hey race fans!!

What an amazing week! We're hanging out in the office trailer watching the race right now. I got the chance to catch up with Larry McReynolds today who said to watch out for Juan Pablo Montoya and who had the early lead, but JPM himself!

Larry Mac was very insightful on all his racing experiences throughout the years. We talked about the year (1998) when he helped Dale Sr. win the Daytona 500!! He said that after Victory Lane and all the Media appearances following winner's circle...they both looked at each other in disbelief and said, "My goodness, we just won the Daytona 500." I have to say that Larry is one of the coolest men in the industry. Not only is he knowledgeable about the sport, but he eats, breathes, and sleeps it. Larry stayed late at the Sprint Experience to make sure everyone had a picture with him until the line ran out. What a class act!

Jimmie Johnson even stopped by the Sprint suite and we got to catch up with him. He has been out here in California since Kansas doing events for his charity, The Jimmie Johnson Foundation. I got to ask him a few questions you guys wanted me to ask (which I really appreciate...thank you). I asked him if he has learned anything from his teammates, which made him put his head down, take a breath and say "patience...they taught me to be patient." He went on to tell us how one minute he's a crowd favorite and another minute he's not. However, he reminded us again that he is trying to stay patient. The question of kids came about when a Sprint customer asked, "So when are you and your wife planning on having kids?" His response (looking over at his NASCAR Sprint Cup Championship Trophy nearby) and said, "After I win a few more of these!" The crowd got a good kick out of that!

We're closing in on the 200 lap mark of the Pepsi 500 and now Jimmie is in the lead! Can he get his fourth win at Auto Club Speedway? Or is Hamlin going to pull into VL? This is anyone's race in my eyes! Guess we will find out soon!
