Profile:
I can remember my Dad dragging me to the Bristol track when I was young, I didnt want to go this was in the late 70’s and early 80’s… I grew up an hour away from Bristol. My dad would just drive in they would say hey Del, I would brush elbows with the Allisons, Cale yarborough, Richard petty and thought nothing of it…
Now I could kick myself!!!
I would follow it through the years and appreciated the sport but never had a driver because I just loved everything about Nascar. Then I was in Indiana and went to a dirt race(sprint) and there was this kick butt racer.I asked who is that and was told Tony Stewart.I met him in the pits and liked him because of his passion for racing….Little did I know at that time.
I started working for Home Depot in 1997 and in 1998 they announced sponsering Nascar and their driver Tony Stewart, I was no-way!!!!! I had a driver for the first time!!!!!!!!!
I love everything about nascar, The smell, seeing cars in the garage and want is all behind the scenes…
I guess it is in my genes for my maiden name is Turner….
