My take on Kyle Busch

Monday May 05, 2008 @ 03:20 PM EDT

I’ve been reading a lot of the blogs and posts about the incident between Dale Jr. and Kyle Busch at Richmond. I feel that the wreck was an intentional act on Kyle’s part. Jr. stuck with the high line that he had been running. Kyle had plenty of room left to the yellow line and if he was racing clean, why did the wheels on the car turn to the right? After the race, Kyle took absolutely no responsibility for the wreck and said “it was just racing”. I was present for the Nationwide race on Friday for the incident between Kyle and Steven Wallace. That incident was a miscalculation by Steven Wallace and “it was just racing” but apparently because Kyle did not cause the incident he was upset about it. I think that Kyle believes if he takes the action that it is ok but can’t take it if an accident is done to him. Kyle has said in interviews a number of times that he will do whatever he needs to win races. Does that mean wrecking someone and maybe injuring someone in that wreck? Kyle needs a reality check and to realize that he is not the best driver in the world and that there are 42 other drivers on the track with him. I believe that he does have some driving talent but his nonchalant attitude and his immaturity are going to cause a lot of problems in future races. He needs to grow up and take responsibility for his actions like normal adults are supposed too and stop acting like a spoiled little child. I also would like to credit Dale Jr. with his mature responses during the numerous interviews after the race. He handled himself well considering that he was very upset with what happened on track. He could have made a number of verbal attacks on Kyle but kept his responses mature and responsible. Another issue that I have is the comparison of Kyle Busch to Dale Sr. Kyle has talent but is nowhere near the man that Dale Sr. was. At least if Dale Sr. wrecked somebody to win a race he would accept responsibility for his actions unlike Kyle. I wished the reporters and commentators would stop jumping on someone’s bandwagon just because they are doing well at the moment. And to stop making comparisons between people because everyone is NOT the same. This is just my opinion of things and if anyone wants to comment on my viewpoint, please feel free to. I just want to say that not all the NASCAR fans that are against Kyle Busch are Dale Jr. fans.
