You ever sit and just watch kids play? Maybe its a ball game or just a tea party. Doesn’t really matter what it is.
At some point, two kids out of the group who have been getting along sooo great, suddenly have a spat. Maybe one trips or hits another for ..whatever reason. Could have even been an accident. Then somebody starts crying.
Well, now the parents get involved. Usually, you get a “Play nice and everything will be okay” speach. No harm, no fouls.
But sometimes you get those overzealous parents. The ones who just know that everybody is just flat out against their “baby”! Somebody should pay and dearly at that!
Then it happens, you have two parents screaming and fighting over who raised their kids better or whos child is a future inmate at a maximum security prison.
These two parents go round and round and Will not see it any other way!
Now, I have witnessed that before. Used to work stage detail at a annual beauty pageant held at out fire station.
The thing is, while the parents were declairing war on each other, the two kids were playing together again!
Yep! There was an incident, it was no big deal, and it was forgotton. Two friends were friends again! Back to playing. Buisness as usual! No big deal. Time to move on!
Now, the parents probably won’t talk ever again! They done and burnt them bridges!
All for the kids’ (who are playing again) sake!
Now how familiar does this sound? Some of us are declairing war on each other because of the way WE see things. Maybe it’s time we stop and look at it through the eys of the kids(drivers) before we react. Maybe we should follow their example. If it isn’t that big of a deal to them, why are we making such a fuss over it? Who are we, when it was THEIR incident?
So before we burn those bridges, lets see what the kids think! If we listen and pay enough attention, they may just teach us something about racing and sportmanship!

Great Blog Fish
Well said and then after the parents(Fans) make such a big deal of these things that happen then the kids(divers) just feel uncomfortable around each other and can’t just play(race).

True
Very nicely said. I have two kids who both play lots of sports so I see it all the time. Never thought about it in the same as here in the blogs or fans. Eye opener.
