Who's Controversy?

Sunday May 11, 2008 @ 08:34 AM EDT

So, it’s gonna be Jr vs Kyle vs Jr vs Kyle for the rest of the year?

Come on now, there isn’t even an issue there at all. As far as Kyle or Jr are concerned, its just another day of racing. Happens all the time in the sport. There is always some driver geting spun, wrecked knocked out or just slapped around in a game of Nascar tag!

The thing is, our driver isn’t just competeing against “That” driver…He’s competeing against 42 other drivers every week! Yep, Its Kenseth vs all the rest, Jr vs all the rest, Kyle vs all the rest, Harvick vs all the rest.Jimmie against all the rest!

See, there is always a driver who has to be the best! There always is, One driver will always be the top man at any given time. It could be the one you love, one you hate , or even the one you love to hate!
But, soon enough, another driver will step up and take that spot away. Then he will have his run as the next great driver.

We have seen it before. In ‘03, it was Kenseth. In ‘05 it was Stewert. ‘06-07 it was Johnson. In ‘08, it is Kyle. In ‘09….who knows? Maybe Jr, or even David Ragan. We’ll have to wait and see.

See, my point is…There is always a driver who is at the top of his game. It may be due to his determination, his equipment, his CC or just presision work by the whole team all the way back to the guy who sweeps the shop floor!

It doesn’t mean he’s cheating, or that Nascar is kissing his butt. It doesn’t mean that all the other drivers suck( well..some do!)
It just means that right now, right here, this driver is having his day in the spotlight!

Now, I hear plenty of peole say that Nascar favors or cheats for this driver. Are you kidding me? As much as we are fans of the sport, we do not have an inkling of what goes on inside the organazation like the teams and drivers do. They are way more well aware of what is going on even before we open our eyes in the morning!
So…At what point do you spend millions on cars, drivers, employees and equipment (not to mention trying to get sponsors) just to get into a race that is rigged? The payout wouldn’t begin to cover the effort or costs!
Besides, why try so hard?

So..it all comes down to your mad or upset if your driver isn’t winning!
Well, chill out and hang on. I imagine his day is coming. It could be next year!

But again, It’s not Jr vs Kyle or the other way around. It’s just Jr versus 42 drivers and Kyle vs 42 drivers!
Thats what we call NASCAR!
