Alex Zanardi Is A True Inspiration

The other night Alex Zanardi was a special guest on Wind Tunnel with Dave Despain and
once again the young Italian continues to amaze me and be a true inspiration to millions
around the world.Alex had competed earlier in the day and had finished 4th in the New York
City Marathon after training for this race for only 3 weeks.I know that some young people,
new to the sport of auto racing might not of heard of Alex Zanardi but this driver was and is
one of the best to ever sit behind the wheel of an auto racing machine.The former CART
Champion has driven in many of the top series in auto racing,go carts,F3,F3000,CART and
F1 and the European Touring Car Championship.Now for the rest of the story;this young
man's burning desire to be the best and his never give up attitude!
During the 2001 CART season, Alex was in a terrible accident in Germany and lost both
of his legs.Did he feel sorry for himself and give up? No way with great family,friends and
doctors plus reaching deep and inside and with GOD's help he learned to walk,drive and
compete once again.Alex Zanardi is truly an inspiration to millions around the world.
