Think about it, this whole Kyle and JR thing is exactly what NASCAR needed! Kyle loses his ride to JR, then they are slugging it out in the top 5 in points. Passionate fans on either side, cheering, booing, forget the Yankees and Bosox, this is great! No matter who your driver is, this is exciting and just what we needed.

Personally
With the first 5 races after Daytona being so stale, NASCAR has to be loving the Richmond race. It really helped to get a lot more fan invovement.

I agree with fish however, the rivalry is in the media and the fan base. On track the drivers have 42 rivalries every race, off the track it’s over and done.

I don’t think there is a rivalry between the two drivers. All drivers have 42 rivalries each week.
But as long as the fans percieve it, they trhey will be buzzing all about it. More people will jump on the bandwagon and soon have to see for themselves! More excitement by the fans= More money for Nascar= more advertising by sponsors,= more money for the teams, = better racing for the fans!
It’s a win win situation!
