Open Wheel Rookies
I believe all these guys should have run a lesser series. The thought of them starting their journey at Daytona scared the heck out of me. On so many levels.

These drivers
need more seat time in a lower eries to ake the switch. I not a JPM fan but he is kinda a 1 in a 1000 that can make that switch as easy as he did. I still think it would have helped hime more spending tie in a lesser series as well.

The OWNERS
make the decisions where their drivers will drive, cup, N’wide or Truck. The driver can insist all he wants where HE (or she) should be driving, but it is up to the OWNER!! These open wheelers coming to NASCAR are BIG names and worth $$$ to the sponsors (well Patrick might disagree). If the team has a potential sponsor and that sponsor wants to see the driver in Cup, that’s where they will be. The money the driver is getting paid is also a factor. A top 35 finish in CUP probably pays better than a top 5 in N’wide or a win in Truck (don’t beat me up, I didn’t research this, just affering an opinion!!)

Let em start
out in the lesser series and just maybe they might have a chance, but who am I to say no cup racin for the open wheelers, its their own fault for throwin themselves to the wolves.

Open Wheelers / Rookies
I don’t pay much attention to them anymore. I was irritated enough when Tony came on in the sport & waiting on him to get over his anger problem.
A yr in Nationwide first before intoducing to Cup wouldn’t be a bad idea first. Drivers need to develope skills & talent before jumping in the deep end.

I THINK
THEY NEED TO START OUT IN LIKE THE TRUCK OR THE NATIONWIDE SERIES FIRST OR MAYBE EVEN ARCA. WE ALL KNOW STOCK CARS ARE ALOT DIFFERENT THAN OPEN WHEELS
