Boy has Kyle finally gotten some of the recognition he deserves. It seems like everyone is at least talking about him, I know I’m glad and most of you other Kyle Busch fans are too.
I missed some of the race yesterday, doing my taxes and the time change messed me up. But I did get to watch the last 100 laps all the way through. Earlier in the race he was leading, an apparent place he likes to run this year. But when I finally got to see the remainder of the race he was in second, behind Carl Edwards. I was having that sinking feeling going on at this point. Then smoke started coming out of Edward’s car and I knew we had a chance to win. When Kyle retook the lead I was thrilled. Here was his chance to make some history. I won’t go into that it’s been written about tons of times already. Then the race was over and Kyle got to do his burn out and slide into victory lane.
I want to take a minute to say what a great job his pit crew did on getting him in and out of the pits in some awesome times. They really did pick up the pace at Atlanta. I also want to throw a little praise to his team mate Tony Stewart. Like I said a week or two ago, team work is going to make allot of differences this year. Tony helped keep Greg Biffle off of Kyle’s back those final laps. I also heard that Biffle lost some rubber getting around Tony earlier and that slowed him down some. But Tony really did seem to help Kyle get the win. A great team effort this past weekend by JGR.
I also want to throw in a huge congratulations to Kyle for his win in the Craftsman Truck Series on Friday night. I am new to NASCAR and haven’t paid much attention to the other series, but I wanted to mention the win.
It’s still young in the season, but so far so good as far as this Busch fan is concerned.
GO KYLE BUSCH!!!
