Well it was a good thing the race went to Monday, for me at least. I got to watch the end of the race from a hospital bed. I had a major intestinal infection with some complications. Anyways, back to the race. It seemed forever for the race to start in the first place. Rain delay after rain delay. But our boy did a great job coming from the middle of the pack. More points for leading the race, another solid 4th place finish and I was blown away by this, first place in the cup series. I had to call my teacher friend and sort of rub it in, she’s a Jimmy Johnson fan. But it was all in good fun. I’m a realist and I know it might not last, look at Jeff Gordon last year.
On a sad note, what happened to the pit crew? Last week they were great, but this past week at Fontana they were a little flat. Or at least to me they seemed that way. Sorry but I was in a little bit of a fog on Monday, so maybe someone can correct me on this one. Let’s hope they are back in form this weekend in Vegas.
I’m really looking forward to this week’s race at Las Vegas. Kyle is on the pole and won’t have to pass 15-20 cars to get to the front. The wife and I have visited and lost a little change there many times. So it will be fun to see places we have visited on the tube, without costing us a lot of money. Plus Kyle is from there, then again so is his brother, and he’ll want to do a good job for the hometown crowd. An added bonus this week is I’ll get to watch from the comfort of my own couch and watch on my big screen HD TV. The pole isn’t always a good spot to start from, but the points will be nice and other perks that go with it. Well this will be a short one, got to get ready for Viva Las Vegas. Yep I love Elvis too!
GO KYLE BUSCH!!!
