Violation
is the main category under which you will find the various types of violations such as cheating, safety, etc. I also agree with every comment below me, especially Bull’s and Monkey’s.

After the second tire got away…. mayb the tire guy should have aimed for his teamate instead of the camera guy.

to my knowledge
that part is attached with screws and if the crew was under the hood at any point during the race which I believe they were don’t you think they would have noticed it missing?

To...........................
Gain an advantage… as I was listening to Darrel Waltrip talk about this particular issue. He said that everyone has an idea or away to gain an edge some try it some choose not to! And he admitted he did somethings would not admit to what they were be cause he could be dinged for the wins he did get in the past.
But then they discussed about the electric rear spoiler one of the drivers in the booth had that was illegal. Every driver, Crew Chief has something they have done! They do! and then there is what they will try in the future as they learn more and more about these new cars… I do not think I find or even think of a driver that has not done something sneaky or flat out cheated.. Walker Evans! A Off Road racing star in his time got busted for cutting shocks! Cutting shocks meant that they cut along the top welds opened them up filled them with silicone and then re-welded them up the advantage was a better ride… The problem was that the class of Off Road Truck he was in had a specific Shock type that was allowed as minor as it sounds it gave an advantage to his class of Truck.. So any advantage that is not allowed is cheating just like when My drivers crew chief filled his rear spoiler down to far in
Nationwide Series ….( JR )!

Not the end of the story!
I guess…Because they would not have dinged 15 or more drivers for it a few weeks ago because it gives the car an advantage! thats the end of the story as I read it from Nascar and why they fined and made them fix it and satrt at the back for trying…If it wasnt an advantage then why do so many try to do it? It is because it gives them an advantage in speed…If it didn’t they would not have done for style!
