safe tires

Monday March 03, 2008 @ 12:07 PM EST

why hasnt any one come up with a sensor that can go in tires and keeps track of temp/thickness on spots that the crew chief can monitor. it wouldnt prevent all tire blow outs but it would help alot.

ideas how it would work the temp sensors would placed in random spots in tire and the read out would show exact location of that sensor on a tire on computer. Thickness sensors would be placed through out and count each time they hit the ground and im sure theirs a math formula that could give the thickness based on how fast each ones hitting the ground.
