Rule breaking as strategy
Here’s the part you guys don’t understand. What Kyle and Jr did this week and got away with, 10 more guys will try next week, and more the next. Pit lane will eventually be totally out of control just like it was before there were pit road rules. And eventually the strategy will turn into tradegy, unless Nascar gets it back under control. The rules are there for a reason. If any of you had ever participated in a race you would understand that it’s not a “no harm, no foul” situation.
They apply to everyone equally, across the board including Kyle and Jr.
Even just watching TV you should have a bit of foresight passed when to get your next beer. If you’ve watched enough races you’d know that what the leaders do, is what the losers will try next.
Apology accepted, now read the next part, and then go to timeout!!

When did work your last race?
What part of ‘Across the board’ don’t you understand? For your information, there were not crew members across the wall but there are 43 other human beings who are across the wall for the duration of the race and they are Nascar officials! There are also a number of fire fighters and track safety personnel on the track that you don’t see on TV who are dispatched immediately after an incident. I happened to be married to one of them. He’s is a father of 6 and a grandfather of 10. Every race he works, he puts his life on the line so the likes of you can sit in front of the tv and act like they know everything there is to know about racing.
I was on the ground and in the pits WORKING my first Nascar race in 1989, probably before you owned your first TV. So before you tell me I don’t know what I’m talking about, go WORK one and actually participate and you realize that YOU are the one who doesn’t know JACK.

So........
No infractions were warranted……..no pit crew was over the wall, he would have been down 3 laps if he didn’t pit even if pit road wasn’t open. Great call by Eury Jr. Maybe you need to look at the rules so you can understand how racing really works and quit spewing your garbage.

As it was said for all to hear:
No safety rules were broken as there were no other cars in the pits. That means there were no other crews over the wall. No safety issues.
now, they knew they;d get penalties which amount to end of the lead lap. That is a step up as if he kept gouing as he was, he’d have gone down 3 or 4 laps! Taking the penalty was better than not! Smart move on their part! Same for Kyle. penalty was better than the alternative!
If you noticed, they stayed on the lead laps after taking their penalties!

ummm infractions
ok out of the 4 infractions Kyle also did at least 3 of them – he pitted with JR, quickly got to the pits, pitted when it was closed, and sped thru the pits so he could change his battery. There was not a mention of passing the pace car, the concern was the safety/clean up crews.
