The commentators sure jipped Kasey Kahne this past weekend. I recall DW mentioning once that Kahne waw working his way up.
In fact, Kasey did a fantastic job of getting back to the lead lap. Several times he was down a lap and not in position for the lucky dog. He kept fighting, got the lucky dog, and ended up going from 43rd to 7th. Not bad at all.
The funny part is, the announcers never said much about it. For people who where so quick to harp on his bad season last year, Im suprised that the only time I hear or see Kasey is when his sponsor is being plugged.
Kasey has top 10 finishes in each race so far. Not a bad start at all.

It seems
to me that the whole Dodge camp doesn’t get credit. Kurt and Kasey were both in the same spot falling a lap and making it up. Again no credit. Then unfortunately Kurt blew a tire and crashed. But HIS CRASH seemed to be overseen by a few other wrecks. Not a single mention. Kasey ends up with a top 10 but its all about backflips and again, Jr.
What it really amounts to is biased media. Too bad. These are two drivers who are really going to take Mopar to the top.
That’s why we’re here.

Actually...
they mentioned him quite a few times. I can recall at least 3 times when Larry Mac said they had to give a call out to Kasey for fighting to get his lead back. Granted, I htink they could acknowledge his overall performance this season. Sunday was proof that there has been a turnaround in that team. I listened to them and they never gave up. The whole team was focused and encouraging. Great job by the whole 9 team!!! I have hope for the first win of 2008 this weekend at Atlanta!

True
I think we may be all drinking to a win very soon out of Kasey. He is definitely showing some great promise this year.

It's been mentioned
in several blogs that Kasey was not given any attention for what was a great run last week, but let’s examine why…
For DW, if you don’t drive a Toyota you don’t exist. The other announcers are so taken with JJ and his brother JG that they can’t see anyone else. How about Kasey’s teamate Sadler with a good start this season, but never gets a mention. But enough whining, if they want attention, just finish first, and I’ll drink to that!
