As the Memorial weekend approaches and we look forward to family, friends, BBQ’s, drinking cold beverages and other activities, please take a moment to remember all of the soldiers who have sacrificed so much for all of us. Some gave the ultimate sacrifice. I know we have many in this community who have served and/or are active military. I want to say “Thank You”, but it just doesn’t seem like enough. I was able to pose this dilemma to one of my best friends who is not only a big NASCAR fan, but has served in the National Guard/Air Force for the last 18 years. His name is MSGT. Tomas Nanez. When I spoke with Tom last week I was telling him how so many memebers of the NASCAR community have rallied to show their support for all of or troops. I asked him “what can we possibly say or do to thank all of you?” At this point, Tom asked me if I would send a personal message out to all of you. Tom – for you, anything! Tom’s message:
Tom, thanks for the message! So, to each and every soldier and their families, I offer this: THANK YOU. You have my heartfelt respect and appreciation. Let’s all try to make sure we honor them and the freedom they allow us throughout the entire year. Thank you for reading and please enjoy your weekend whatever you’re doing!

I served in the navy from 91-94 and my dad served in Vietnam 62-64. I personally want to thank each and every service member and family members that have loved ones who served past and present and in these trying times lets remember that the red stripes in the american flag is for hardiness and valor. We all need to remember the blood that has been spilt to make this country what it is. This last sentence is for the ones who take things for granted. All of our service members are heroes. I hope that all come home safe. Thank you to all and hearts and prayers are with you.

We all are so grateful for you and what you do for all of us! We don’t overlook the fact that you guys give up many comforts and risk your lives for us. Well my friend what Can I say that Thank you from the Bottom of my heart for everything that you do for me and my Family and the Whole Untied States of AMERICA!!! My Father Both of my Grand farthers and numorus of other family members faught in past wars and the all came back safeley my dads dad lost a leg in Keroa. From my family to your thank you vvery much.
