Where are the true fans?

Tuesday May 20, 2008 @ 09:19 PM EDT

I don’t know about you but I am sick of hearing about people complaining. I know this is going to sound like I am (maybe I actually am)but here it goes. It seems to me lately that there are fewer and fewer Nascar fans. Sure you can have your favorite driver, but what’s wrong with enjoying some good racing while we’re at it. I am tired of people complaining that certain people always win, teams have an advantage that fits the rules, and their FAVORITE driver came in the top five instead of first. Look people our favorite driver is not going to win every week and the media may not even cover him, but we all know that shouldn’t make us love this sport so much. I still have yet to see a boring race! Even though my favorite may end up 43rd there is always something to be excited about. It may be a race strategy, or the emotion of the sport. If Nascar wasn’t doing something right then why has it been around 60 years. We have the most awesome form of motor sports in the world. The best access to our favorite drivers and teams, the most passing of any major auto series, and the best variety of tracks. DO I agree with everything that happens; NO!!!! Does it make me like the sport or my favorite any less; Heck NO! Is everything perfect in Nascar land; It never will be. Just remember it is a business and we have the privilege of being a part of it. So here’s to another awesome race this weekend!!! Let’s go racing!!!!!!!!
