I have heard and read a lot about the collapse of Hendrick at the Daytona 500. Its amazing how short us Nascar fans memories are. Hendrick Motor Sports didn’t do much better in last year’s Daytona 500, yet went on to dominate the season. In fact Jr’s 9th place finish is one place better than Jeff’s 10th place finish last year and Jimmie finished 12 places better than last year.
Here is a comparison of last year and this year:
2007
Jeff Gordon – 10th – 134 points
Jimmie Johnson – 39th – 46 points
Kyle Bush – 24th – 96 points
Casey Mears – 20th – 103 points
Total Points-379
2008
Dale Jr. – 9th – 143 points
Jimmie Johnson – 27th – 87 points
Casey Mears – 35th – 52 points
Jeff Gordon – 39th – 51 points
Total Points – 333
Daytona is always a crap shoot. The real season begins next week.

5 Flags from ME!!
People need to just sit back and watch. HMS WILL be the dominant team in NASCAR in 2008. The haters can just go drink their Red Bull at the Home Depot!! We’ll be drinking AMP at LOWES!!

Great Blog!!

Hendrick Haters
Sure glad to see the two remaining Hendrick Haters showed up with their one flag rating, it will certainly effect affect my future postings – NOT! I wonder how many extra people read it because of your rating.

Hendrick results
You are so right!
Thanks. I think there were such great performances last year, most people are waiting for a mistake. I do think this next week they’ll be better prepared and ready to assume the position at the top!
