I agree, honey.
This is Cowboyframer’s wife and I whole-heartedly agree with him. The Sprint Cup drivers need to stick to the Sprint Cup. I don’t see why they feel the need to drive in a “lesser” circuit. I mean, most drivers in the Sprint Cup series are there for a reason, right? I’m still fairly new to watching NASCAR, but not new to sports in general. You don’t see major league pitchers in baseball go to the minors unless they’ve screwed up or are injured. Why should that be any different in NASCAR?

here's a novel idea........
........ since “some” drivers claim that they are there just for “fun” ....... let the CUP BOYS RACE THE NATIONWIDE RACES…....
but they collect no points or $$$........
...... just trophies!!
pffffffffft trophies….. bible says everything you need to know about that
If a driver wants to run dirt tracks….... sure!
BUT HALF THE FIELD SHOULDN”T BE THE cup boys!
I believe that there were only like 36 cars or something like that in SAT. race…...
and 43 in SUNDAYS race???
and all do respect to everyone,
but I’m seeing alot of “straNGE NAMES’ AND WIERD ACCENTS GOIN’ AROUND!
you gotta look after your own before you help someone else!
Lot of local people getting put out for what reasons??
BECAUSE THEY AINT GOT MONEY????
D A Y T O N A !!!!!!!! FIRE'UM UP BOYS!enough of this!!
BUCKLE UP TIGHT AND SAY YOUR PRAYERS........ IT'S GONNA BE A BUMPY RIDE SUNDAY......espeacially in turns 1 and 2 on the inside

GOOD BLOG COWBOY
I, imho, blelieve that “if” the cup drivers drive in the Nationwide they should NOT get any points! OR go for any championship in the Nationwide. Why let them race then? Well sometimes being with the experienced drivers MAKE you a better driver. I only say that cuz NASCAR isnt going to change the Cup drivers from driving in the Nationwide. There are ALOT of fans that come to those races cuz of the BIG names and thus NASCAR makes the “bucks” from that. Besides, just like at Bristol, theres a 5-6 yr waiting period to get tickets to the Cup races, when the Cup drivers drive in the Nationwide the fans have the opportunity to “see” Cup drivers. Do I personally like them driving in the Nationwide..NO it takes away the chance of up-coming drivers to race. Just like the “retirees” running only lit’l amount of races in the Cup. I dont care if its for “owner” points, get a Nationwide driver to ride instead of a retiree! The retiree or any other driver that only drives for lit’l amount of races a year should NOT get points unless they drive the WHOLE year!
Just my humble opinion of the matter.

just my opinion....
in football, you can’t go back to college. in baseball, if you go back, you suck or are hurt.

AMEN Cowboy
I Totally agree with everything that you have said about the “Cup Champions”. How can they even consider themselves at the same level as the “Nationwide” teams???? Also how LITTLE must you think of yourself to have the need to “BEAT” anyone who is in a lower division. This really lets you know how insecure drivers like TONY STEWART are!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

maybe the like to race....
that’s great. I’m sure the local fans of the little tracks they race at really enjoy the fact the they will still come and run with the small timers, but I seriously don’t think that them running in some friday night dirt shootout is going to affect the entire out come of that particular series. However when a guy can be crowned the champion of a series without ever having even won a race in that series I believe there is a bigger problem.

The Nationwide Series
NASCAR Needs the Nationwide series to develope drivers, but I too, don’t like seeing cup guys in the Nats. Txstormin is right. All other major sports have minor or developmental leagues. NASCAR Should keep the cup guys out of the Nationwide races.

But then again
Look at R Gordon and Kyle Busch. They go to all races. Craftsman, Baja, Nats, Cup, Cart,Dirt, whatever. They just like to race. Anywhere! Cant hold it against them. I don’t think they are looking for an easy win, They just want to race!

Bobby Hamilton Jr said it best
“Bobby Hamilton doesn’t sell tickets, Carl Edwards sells tickets.”
I agree, the Nats shouldn’t be run by cup drivers, but what better way to raise enough money to air or give prize money to the Small guys than to get big money names Like Stewert, Jr, Carl and such.
I think all drivers should run the Nats for at least two years before they go to Cup.
Once you win at least 1 Cup race, you can’t go bavck!
Besides, after next year, it will be a totally new game!
