Well yesterdays

Monday June 02, 2008 @ 10:51 AM EDT

race sent the points standings into a frenzy. 6 of the 12 involved in a early wreck, and gave a few drivers who needed a cushion a chance for a huge points day.

Kyle Busch love him or hate him, that boy can drive. Great pit stops and just knowing when to capitalize. He now leads the series with 4 wins. Can he keep this momentum going? I am not to sure a few drivers are starting to heat up but he’s got a real great shot of winning this whole thing this year. With a 142 point lead over Burton he only looking to build on that.

Elliot Sadler what happened? I know he got bumped by Gilliand but he just can’t get away from Smoke. His rough day at lowes last week got worse at Dover. He now sits 28th in points and quickly sliding the wrong direction. The momentum of resigning with GEM I thought would give this team a boost but that was quickly loss like his racecar.

On the upswing:
Matt Kenseth, I know a couple weeks back i was doubting whether they could make charge. But with what happened this week, I think Matt will make the chase he sits 16th and only 96 points out, and some of the drivers who seemed to have the chase in there pocket seem to be falling back. recent strong runs and avoing trouble have given thiss team a new life and he needs to continue to run well and avoid mishaps like early in the season if he does that the #17 will be there in the chase.

Jeff Gordon, I know every week I talk about them good or bad, but lately this team has been road warriors, lot’s of testing and trying to find what works and its seems to be working, while at lowes they were marred back in traffic and had a good finish, they followed that up with a good run and good finish. with the early accident they knew running well would mean a big points day and in just staying consistent they improved 4 positions second best to the Bif. and now sit solidly in 6th. They are making progress and we all know this team can rattle of some wins so don’t count them out just yet.

The Bif after weeks of having the best car and running into crazy problems, he finally was able to stay comepetive even with the mechanical problem, he led a race high laps and finished 3rd and gained 6 positions in the standing great job to them!!!
>
The team I give the best turn around has to be Biffle, look he has had rough couple weeks after running and leading majority of laps and not being able to capitalize this team perservered and yesterday he sat in a car without driver perks for 400 miles and still a top 5 finish. We saw last year with Jeff Gordon being consistent doesn’t always pay off but this team will get some wins.

Finally the boys at Fox, this was one of my favorite years since this team started. There is a reason why ratings were up this year and other networks should take notice. These guys love what they do and in every broadcast they made sure us the fans knew that. I wish they were here year round or at least in the chase. From Speedweeks in Daytona, the rain delays of California, the snow of Atlanta and the big one of Dover and every race in between these guys brought it, we might not of agreed with everything they said but they know how to entertain us and inform us all at the same time…

on to Pocono…
