all the stuff that when involving well you all know who…. there were some great runs on saturday from some drivers that have barely been mentioned. First off hats of Clint Boywer he ran well and made history he is the first driver to win Richmond from starting 30th or worse. So great job to him. And speaking of starting postions what a job by that 24 crew. They were down early but they battled back and ended up with a top ten finish. Thats the crew we have seen the last few years, not the defeated crew we have been accustomed to this year. So lets hope for some great runs coming up he is only 6 points out of the top 12 and Darlington is one of his better tracks. And Bobby Labonte, how bout that, Finished 13th and on the lead lap, a great run for that team. And David Ragan and Travis Kvapil(hopefully some full time sponsorship will come along with his good runs the last couple weeks) Strong runs and strong finishes great to see. And even though he had the accident late in the race with MW(see below) Casey Mears was in the top 15, top 20 all day, good pit stops and since his rough start he has moved up to 23rd in points a great rebound and with the Coca Cola 600 coming up May should bring better things.

Now for those you wonder what happened to????
Jimmy Johnson, I know he got caught up in the wreck with nowhere to go, but they weren’t as strong as I expected them to be here. especially because he is dominate at night races, he currently sits 7th in points a drop of two postions. And Kurt Busch, I am actually starting to feel pity for the guy. After a strong second at Daytona he has dropped like a rock in the standings and early in the races. I am not sure what is off with this team, most teams have said the new tires have really thrown them off, but he has not even been comeptitve the last couple weeks. i know some tough luck getting caught in crashes with nowhere to go has really trampled any chance of moving up front but something really is off with a team that has so much talent behind it. speaking of talent where has Matt Kenseth been? He’s one of my guys that besides Gordon I root for, he’s from just north of me,so theres a little hoping for him to pull out a win, but lately I am hoping he will finish a race. From crashing out, to mechanical problems to handling problems there was so much talk of gordon struggling i think they forgot to mention that Matt hasn’t been running all that well himself. And the surprising thing is Carl Edwards has ran so well, now i know differnet drivers, different crews but same cars. Are they just not sharing info anymore? I thought The Bif was the odd man out at Rousch apparently not. I hope to see him turn things around sitting 22 in points and sliding backwards. his chances our making the chase are slowly disappearing…

My what was he thinking for the week: Mikey Waltrip. Seriously? at first glance I thought maybe it was the wreck that attached you two, but after seeing you back up and go straight into him my vision was suddenly clear. you cost yourself points, and your crews hard work all day wasted on a stupid move. Parking you was the right thing to do, thats not racing that childish and I am not sure but some sort of penalty is due. What were you thinking???

So now in to Darlington, the new repavement should see qaulify speeds increase this year and the race will be just as entertaining.45 teams have entered the race so quals will be tight. I have to say I was a huge whiner about the COT I only worried the racing would be poor but the last month or so has yet to disappoint.Good luck to all of our favorite drivers this week. And Enjoy the race!!
