18,
you know how people complain about change, what do you think they would do with this one?

Hey 18
I haver a real weird opinion about this but it is my opinion. I agree with you about the scheduling of the All Star Race, that makes a lot of sense. I should be jumping up and down screaming to have it at Daytona because it would be a hop skip away from me. And Daytona is pretty much where it all began thus there is your History. Here comes the weird part: Charlotte is where it is all at and it belongs there. Now moving it to the Rock, well, that’s a different story.

Good Question but check this out!
Why do we start our season with the ‘SuperBowl’ of Nascar. It’s just a backwards thing. And in a way, we are about halfway through the season. That is if you consider the Chase to be a Playoff/Championship format.

Though it may seem odd
I’d say keepin it in Charlotte is the best. Like BMike said, it gives the drivers extra time with their families and a bonus that even Daytona couldn’t give them… they get to spend that time at home instead of in a motor coach or hotel room. Also, most fans come down for the race, but also enjoy the chance to visit the race shops and all the extra time there allows for that. The only thing that might make sense would be to move the date to midseason, but not the venue. Great blog and thinkin though.

maybe
rotate the mid point race between all the tracks with the all star race there the weekend before. ok not all tracks, but the ones that are traditional sellouts.

BMike
you could have it the week after the Daytona Race. Ok 20 I will. The Rock would be awesome too, Posse.

One tweak
Change the venue, have it at “The Rock”
