Egos, and Super-Stars: Hendricks Ranch; Bulls in a Pasture

Ego: The Fire Down Below

The Ego comprises that organized part of the personality structure which includes defensive, perceptual, intellectual-cognitive, and executive functions. Conscious awareness resides in the ego, although not all of the operations of the ego are conscious. “…The ego is that part of the ID which has been modified by the direct influence of the external world”. The word ego is taken directly from Latin, where it is the nominative of the first person singular personal pronoun and is translated as “I myself” to express emphasis. The Latin term ego is used in English to translate Freud’s German term Das Ich, which literally means “The I”.

Too Many to Foursome: The Herd Grows

With the addition of Dale Earnhardt Jr. to the team at Hendrick,, and now with Mark Martin coming on board,, questions pop up as to when the inevitable will occur,, when there are Too Many Bulls in a Pasture,, if you don’t separate them,, well bulls will be bulls,,, and some can be downright mean… the same can be said about Super-Stars,, Drivers with that much Talent,, with the expectations of not only winning,, but to have the undivided attention of the owner and every other team member in the shop,, It can be seen already this year with the frustrations of Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon,, they know that initially the attention would be on Jr.,, he was the, for the lack of better words,, “New Kid on the Block”,, so it was only expected that Mr. Hendrick would want his new project to be the one that had all of the attention whenever possible,, even if it meant not shining so bright if the fire went dim on the 88 car,,

Four for the Money: One for the Show; Go Cat Go, But Don’t You

Jeff Gordon’s frustration is clearly visible in his eyes as well as his facial expressions after a race that has caused issues for him,, Jimmie Johnson,, with the success of last year,,, then to come out null and void,, well it ain’t like him or his team,, by no means,,, Mark Martin,, although he Retired,, is doing just what I did not want to see,,, if you say something,, do it,, don’t come back in a couple of seasons (seasons that he raced in anyways) just cause your hungry again,, Leave with Honor and Dignity,,,, but,, he is one heck of a driver,, one who has one thing on his mind,, Championship,, he wants it very badly,, more than I think any of his new team mates know,,, Yet,,,, then there is Jr.,, with all his fans who want more and more from an already over-expected-from driver,, he wants to win too,, he has another taste recently and liked what it tasted like,, he is definitely hungry,,,

Dream Team or Hendrick Nightmare: A Full Pasture

Stables, when full have to let some go,, eventually or one or more of the rest of the herd goes without,,,,, that will not be a good thing in certain garages however due to the fact that each and every member of the team is a potential money making machine to the Pastures on the Hendrick Ranch,, so,, one can only ask when will the inevitable happen,,,, when will the Egos of the Super-Stars get in the way of each other and the drivers take it on themselves as individual teams to “Outdo” the other team members in the garage at the shop back on the ranch,,, the Rancher needs to be sure to keep each one,, each individual Ego Pumped to the Point of Self Implosion in order to keep each Ego happy and content,, Dang Tough Job,, I don’t care how Tall You Sit in the Saddle,, Mr. Hendrick has one heck of a chore ahead,, keeping Four Studs locked up together when the Winners Circle is like a Mare in Heat,, is not a wise decision,, I know enough about life to know that,, don’t got to be no Rocket Scientist to figure that one out,,,

Neighborly Ranch: Competition for Capital

With Tony Stewart doing exactly what I thought he would do in a blog back in April ,, starting his new team will further complicate things at the Hendrick Ranch due to the focus turning towards Smoke and his endeavor to begin ownership of a cup contending team,, with attention comes items sales and sponsorships taking away from the major sales of the Herd at Ranch Hendrick,, that attention will cost in the long run,, other factors will hinder the team internally when team members who are not drivers defend their driver in the garage from other team members on the Ranch,,, as well as list of factors that will eventually be in the equation,, it will happen,, eventually,,, I guess I am saying what everyone already knows,, oh don’t get me wrong,, it ain’t like I don’t like it,, I think the strategy behind the genius is extraordinary,, definitely one of the Best Damn Teams Ever Assembled in NASCAR History,, I am just thinking that he might want to start thinking now how to get these Thoroughbreds used to not only racing together,, without blinders on,, and used to winning using Wisdom,,, not Egos,,,
