See; I think this is were some people(s) along with the MEDIA is getting this wrong or not understanding what is really being said by some of the Kyle supporters, of whom most were fans or observers of Dale Earnhardt Sr. At least for myself and from what I have seen from most in the blogs on this heated topic, is that it’s Kyle driving style and his on the track personality that resembles Dale Earnhardt Sr., but are not comparing him in any way to Dale Sr. the person that many may have known off the track, after a race, or in general everyday life. Many have just stated that he seems to have or share the same driving style and the same on track personality of the “young “Dale Earnhardt Sr; that most remember. In being similar to when Dale Sr. made his appearance to Nascar racing early in his career. Dale Jr. himself even suggested that Kyle may share some similarities to his father’s pre-1989 career. Dale Sr, later in his life was very gracious towards the sport that gave him and his family a very luxurious life and the ability to help his closest friends when in need.
I’ve tried to make these same comments in that you would had to have seen Earnhardt Sr. during his earlier racing career to fully understand why some have compared him (Kyle) to Dale Sr. I for one am not ready to say Kyle Busch is the next Dale Earnhardt Sr or will ever be……. “As of yet”
But I am willing to Witness
Do I see similarities, do I see his potential , and do I see the same desire to win at all cost,,, good or bad as the late Dale Earnhardt Sr. ,,,, right now… “yes I do”
Here’s an EARLY PIX of a probably cocky, slightly arrogant, and not so humble Dale Sr.
<>
“Some how”; I could see the “Kyle Busch of Today” do’n something very similar….
A quote from a fellow driver of that era:
“There are certain guys who you can race with, and they’ll race you hard and clean. “[Earnhardt Sr.] is not one of those guys.”
Ricky Rudd about Dale Earnhardt Sr’s driving style.

“Some how”; I could hear the same comment being made by a current driver about the same,,,,, “Kyle Busch of Today” ……

There will always
be comparisons of athletes to former athletes. Whenever an athlete shows an ability to make the same plays on the court, magnificent catches, runs and passes on a football field, pitches, catches, throws and hits on a baseball field or great runs on the track it will spark a memory of an all time great that did a similar thing. Of course Kyle Busch is not Dale Sr, he’s Kyle Busch. But to make a comparison is not a bad thing. Not all his moves on the track are reminiscent of Dale Sr but some are enough to spark that memory.
