This was the worst and best day of my NASCAR career!
I waved to Tom Cruise and held a tire during a pit stop, however, the photographer didn’t show for the pit stop and a random lady in the media center spilled coffee on my computer keyboard!
After 12 or so hours at the track, rain and shine, I smell like wet dog!
The sme ll of mildew from my pants is making me ill, I have a bad after taste in my mouth from ISC Mexican track food and mascara is smudged all over my eyes so bad that I look like Courtney Love!

trapped like a rat
My wife and I were at this race, our first ever. We were very disappointed with nascar waiting until 11pm to call the race. We were with a group that booked thru racetickets.com and they refused to leave the track until the race was called, so we were basicly prisoners being held at the track, either out in the cold and wet or stuck on a bus for 5 hrs, what a bust. Didn’t get back to the hotel early enough to change our flight out or our pick ups we had set up, not happy at all.

You Da Woman
Dear Ms. Raygan,
I hope you were paid overtime… what a long *long weekend! Bless your heart, you stuck it out like a true grunt … smudged mascara, smelling like a wet dog, (that is bad), mildew, Mexican track food, (washed down with a Corona or two) and coffee on the the ole keyboard! And, but not least a race that shouldn’t even have started until today!! Get a good shower/bath, eat a good dinner and a few glasses of wine on your trip to Las Vegas… you deserve it kid.

Modern Technology
Boy were all the devices we own to record these races worthless this weekend. Saturday’s long day seemed endless with Tivo catching hours of Rusty telling Steven stories. Thought nothing could get worse.
Then Sunday happened.

You know they are running low on material when they are showing the crews lining up to fill gas cans.
Nascar dropped the ball letting Sunday drag on like it did. I live in the midwest. I gave up at 10pm CST. Nascar let it drag on for another 3 hours. Luckily, I was very much asleep by then. As was most of the rest of the country.
That sound you heard last night was us shutting off the TV’s and going to bed. Even the boring Oscars would have been a better show.

How bad was this handled?
Personally I think NASCAR badly handled last night’s rain delay/cancellation. Leaving alone the Ryan Newman comments about Dale and Hamlin (he said that it is not all about them although he failed to see that Dale Jr. was taken out by Mears and WAS avoiding the water) the whole race was a debacle. From starting the race with water and speedy dry still on the track, to red flagging the race instead of yellow for the crash which did not allow Dale’s crew to work on his car-and the fact that in the past they allowed drivers to use backup cars when the track caused issues-, to the delay and telling people on Fox that the race would be happening at 1AM EST and then having an update at 1AM saying it would start at 2AM, and then a 2AM update saying it was cancelled (why couldn’t they have done a scroll on Fox or even better real and not taped coverage on Speed?); to the restarting of the race was rain was obviously on the way. These screw ups and lack of direction, communication, and consistency are just some reasons why the fans are turning away. Fontana also is in itself a problem and should be totally re-evaluated.

Could be worse! He could have waved back!!!
You could be back here in the cold snow of Indiana at 1:45 a.m. waiting, knowing you have to go to work in 4 hours. I just hope the action is worth the wait.

The good news is...
you look like Courtney Love. She is really cute. But I was at the race today too. It really did suck. I thought we could get it all in and now nearly 11 pm at night PST they want to still get it in. I can’t believe it. Please do it tmorrow so I can come and see the end of the race, since we already went home.

The Day from Hell
Wait till later today when the Mexican food backs up on you and you start getting fund raising emails from the Sciencetology headquaters. Your hell has only started. But you are good for a laugh at this time of the morning. Thnx.
