Youthful Invasion
I read your piece on the young drivers competing in the truck series. I like seeing those guys competing against some of the sports veterans. I find myself watching the truck races more and more especially when Kyle Busch is racing, he seems to run circles around most of the other drivers. Having a place for the young talent in NASCAR to shine is good for the sport. Most other sports have some sort of farm system to bring in up and comers, NASCAR and its owners should use the truck series more before bringing young drivers up to the Nationwide or Sprint Cup Series. I think Jeff Burton would agree after racing with McDowell at Martinville. I think the guy needs more time in a truck or a Nationwide car. The Truck Series is exciting to watch and a good place for young talent to make a name for themselves.

Vintage Nascar race
Being a long time Nascar fan, I would like to see them do one vintage race a year. I.E. for the 2009 cup season they pick 1974 for a vintage race [and it will count in the points race] I used to love to see the old Dodge Chargers verse the Ford Torino’s and Monte Carlo’s Malibu’s, Chevelles battle it out in true Nascar style. I think it would be a great race, and give the drivers of today a taste of what stock car racing is really like. You might even get Richard, Cale, and D.W to join in. I know i would be there.
