As I sit here on this Sunday before Memorial Day, let me take this time to reflect upon the race held here in Mansfield just yesterday. I guess to start with, I need to go back to Thursday, when the trucks were downtown, the trucks themself were very emaculat, and the drivers were friendly and very helpful with whatever information the fans wanted to know. The trailer haulers were helpful as well, and very informative about the trailers and their purpose at the races.
I was not able to make it to the practices, the qualifing runs, or the race itself, but, from the information I got afterwards, I understand it was a very clean race, and a new man won. I must admit, I’m very proud of each and every driver, and, as a citizen of Mansfield, I’d gladly welcome them back every year, and would consider each and every one of them both as a friend, and a part of the Mansfield family.
