As many of you here know, my daughter and I are the NASCAR fans in our house. Hubby tries hard to understand it all and he does a pretty good job but I think he has a mental block about cars and racing. Last night at dinner, I said the Duel 150s start at 2pm. My daughter added that her brother will have to get her from school at 2:15 because Mom won’t leave the TV and the race. Hubby asked, “When do they end?” Before I could answer, my daughter patted her dad on the shoulder and said, “November. Face it dad, this is just the beginning!”

Gotta love it.
Makes me remember my daughter when she was just 8 or 9 years old. She would watch most of the race with me each and every Sunday (or sat night) and if Dale Sr didn’t win she’d cry. I guess being a nascar fanatic is genetic. Happy Valentine’s Day and thanks for bringing up that memory.
