California, Richmond,The Chase

Tuesday September 02, 2008 @ 10:54 AM EDT

Where should I start? California? The fact that the race was boring? or that the Nationwide race started so late I fell asleep? Now I like the California venues, But I do not think they should ever be under the lights. My reason? That for the rest of the United States, their time zone leaves us up until around 12 or 1 AM, depending on where you live. Saturday night’s race started at 10 PM Eastern, 9 Central! And for the old dogs of NASCAR way too late to stay up, especially when you rise around 6 AM to feed the farm animals. And here I thought NASCAR was gonna start thinking about the old fans, you know the ones who have supported the sport since the 60’s and 70’s, the old dogs, WOOF, WOOF,lol.. So KUDOS for moving the race to November, and hopefully it will be a Day race! But I still think the Labor Day event should return to Darlington, and I think NASCAR should move the Mother’s day event to Atlanta, under the lights. See that way the Darlington event would again become the Southern 500 on Labor Day, the way it is meant to be! Can you hear me NASCAR? Now on to a boring event, and it wasn’t the driver’s fault. Jimmie provided a good show and I was glad to Chevy back into Victory lane. It just started too late. Kyle didn’t seem to have a very good car, and I was surprised by that fact! Love him or hate him, you have to respect his record! I think Jimmie was just so dominating, no one could touch him. Jeff Gordon’s bad year seems to be continuing, but I think by the chase, the 24 team will be ready. Come on, just how much lousy luck can one team have in a season?
This year’s chase I think is gonna provide the fan with something we have missed in the past few years, A real Chase! And Richmond will have the final decision of who will make it into
The Chase for the Sprint Cup
~
Kyle Busch, and Carl Edwards, have already clinched. Jimmie Johnson, Dale Earnhardt Junior, Jeff Gordon, Denny Hamlin, Tony Stewart, Jeff Burton, Kevin Harvick, Matt Kenseth, Greg Biffle *should all make it in. *Clint Bowyer, David Ragan, and Kasey Kahne will have to fight it out at RIR this weekend, to see just which one of them will make the Chase. I guarantee you one thing, We are gonna see things we haven’t in a Long time this year, I can feel the thunder as it starts to rise. 12 Men will make it, but only one can win it all! So I put it out to the community,
Just who do you think will win the first Sprint Cup?
~

Well that’s about it, I covered alot of ground this week, hehehehehe.. Enjoy the week, prepare for the weekend, and Be Safe!
