By an article I just read here at NASCAR.com. NASCAR has the best fans in the world! I was in tears by the second paragraph, to read and confirm, what I already knew. NASCAR fans go above and beyond for our own, and usually anyone who crosses our path, needing assistance. The article is about a fan who passed and his final wish was granted, by his loving girlfriend. With the assitance of other NASCAR fans, and a NASCAR employee, who took her to a victory lane. His final wish was granted.
You seriously need to read this article! It is on the front page, and I am giddy to see some heart warming media. We seem to read all the bad, while the good is buried on the last page. But here at NASCAR.com, here we get it all, the good, the bad, and sometimes even Ugly shows up! But back to we the fans, I have watched for years, and the giving in NASCAR has always been there. Drivers and Teams support charities, get involved locally, going above and beyond. But even the drivers can’t touch the giving that NASCAR fans Have and continue to do. No matter your driver, no matter your manufacturer, in the NASCAR Nation, we will welcome you in, but expect a good hearted ribbing over your chosen driver,lol… I have seen this attitude Live and in Person. I have been thrown a beer when thirsty, by a passerby, who sees I am empty. Been offered a lift when walking to the track, from the campgrounds, and spend endless hours, talking to other fans about racing. When I am with NASCAR fans, I am always at Home! We are like a large family, we have our black sheep, but all in all, we care! So it is days like this that make me even more proud to be a NASCAR fan, and privledged to be a part of the largest family in the world, the NASCAR family, cos it don’t get any better then that!
Indy is this weekend, Whoo hoo!! I will be rooting Dale Junior and David Ragan, but will be cheering for everyone,lol.. I know pick a driver, any driver. But I can’t, I love em’ all, they are my boys! Even the spoiled brat, Kyle, hehehehe

and great article. Thanks for pointing it out to us. All the more meaningful to me since my home state is Michigan. Great people up there made even better by being NASCAR fans.
