I just don’t get it when KB is compared to Dale Sr, as such a great driver & good for the sport. Kyle is very immature, and disrespectful to others both on and off the track. Dale Sr loved to race, raced his heart out, but he didn’t treat people the way KB does. If KB thinks he is following in Dale Sr’s shoes, he is dreaming an impossible dream. It gets so bad, I don’t even want to watch the race if I think KB is close to winning. Let’s hear it for the real racers, like Jeff Burton, Dale Jr, Mark Martin, Jimmie Johnson, & Carl Edwards. These guys drive with all of their heart, too, but have some respect for one another….

Dale Sr...
early on was alot like that, but to say he didn’t respect other people is just plain wrong. The biggest incident I could think of where he had a vendetta against someone he got smacked by nascar for. He didn’t give an inch for anyone and if you got in his way he would not move out of the way to avoid wrecking you. The one exception was Terry Labonte at that real late race (was it at dover?)

Actually, I think DW started blabbering some useless BS about Shrub being like Sr… The bad part is Shrub has run with it… and yes… he HAS made the comparison himself… I think it was on Raceday that he did. It made me want to hurl! Shrub’s such an idiot, he really things he’s cool when he says stupid stuff… a legend in his own mind!

Agree with luv – he is not comparing himself or has ever even said he wants to be like Dale Sr. – other’s are comparing his DRIVING STYLE – its been said a lot of times. I think Sr. is a legend because he drove to win no matter what & his record speaks of that – it had nothing to do with respect, personality, etc.

Thats just it! He is a great driver AND he is good for the sport!
Nobody is saying he is the most mature guy out there, but then again, neither is Stewert. But you cannot deny Stewerts ability behind the wheel!
Now, as far as I know, Kyle may not know what 2+2 is!
But…that doesn’rt take away from the fact that he can still drive great! They don’t have to know math, proper english, manners or the lyrics to a song to drive great!
Now as being good for the sport, just look at who your blog is about. People are talking about Kyle. Sometimes good, sometimes bad. Doesn’t matter to Nascar if you bo him or cheer him , as long as you have passion and spend money to cheer Kyle or to boo him. Either way, you neck deep in Nascar and thats what its all about!

First off, Dale Sr. was a great NASCAR hero and I have all the love for the guy but…
How soon we forget what a jerk Dale Sr. really was. He was a ruthless bully who would wreck you out for any reason he felt was justifiable, just for his own personal gain or perhaps some grudge he had against his opponent. You really need to watch him race again and make sure to watch all the way through the post race interviews which were nothing more than cocky, smart a**, jabs at everyone on the track. Total lack of any respect. And clean racing? HAH! Yeah right! Too bad Sr.’s not still around because you people DO NOT remember what he was about now that you’ve placed him on this pedistal. I would love to hear your opinion of him after he put Jimmie into the wall.

when he wins 7 championships,or back to back chamlionships,or over 50 races,then and only then can we even start to compare him with the greatest driver EVER in NASCAR history!meantime i’ve had enough M&M’s and of schrub.
