Yep, as of this morning, California Speedway is now listed as “Auto Club Speedway of Southern California” on the official Web site.
$75 million over 11 years will pay for an awful lot of empty seats on race day.
Speaking of racing, track drying efforts are under way. The jet dryers are out and the track is looking better. We’re still a ways from getting cars out there, but the crews are busy getting prepared.
We haven’t received an updated schedule, but I’m guessing the Nationwide practice will be canceled or rescheduled, rather than pushing everything back.
Got to make sure TV is happy.
