Help, You’ve lost me.
Now I know I’m gonna catch some crap for this one, but as I stroll through the crews page, I am overwhelmed by the number of crews there are representing a very small peice of what we call NASCAR. Now I’m only gonna pick on two and that is for one good reason.
They have by far the most crews representing them.
Seriously If your a diehard Tony Stewart fan, why don’t you just join a diehard Tony Stewart Fan Crew. And what makes one crew better than the next? I read some of the crew descriptions and they are nothing but a word game. One crew is ‘This crew is for true Tony Stewart fans’, the next is ‘This crew is for TRUE Tony Stewart fans’. Then you get the real mix ‘This crew is for true fans of Tony Stewart’, or ‘True fans of Tony Stewart welcome here’. Come on people. Is one crew truer than the next?
Though, I am now afraid that some may try to get original. Maybe spice up your crews. How about this for a crew idea ‘Dale Jr. wakes up in the morning and Blows Gas’ and for a crew description ‘If your one of the Jr. fans who wakes up in the morning and rips one now you have a real place to worship him.’ Or maybe ‘Dales Brew to Canned Crack Crew’ ‘This crew is for all of you recovering Budweiser Alcoholics who are now bouncing off of the walls on an AMP Energy drink buzz.’
At least these crews have some originality.
This is an awesome site and I love the diversity of the members but sometimes I think it gets a little ridiculous with these crews. Maybe you can shed some light for the rest of us whose drivers have less than 10 crews, why you don’t just all consolidate to make the DALE JR. SUPERCREW, or Tony, Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Hendrick’s, Gibb’s, you get the idea.
So after all of that, the survey question is: Just how you all pick your crews when almost all are the same thing? STALE AND CARBON COPIED.

I have mixed feelings about this issue. When I first came to the Community and saw all the crews, I said to myself these people are nuts. Why have so many different crews for the same drivers. Why not consolidate. I still kinda feel this way especially when I read some of the crew mottos. Let’s just say, they sound like they were created at a whim without putting much thought into it. What made me change my mind somewhat since my initial impression was the people that belong to some of the crews. You can for example like the same driver but if you don’t fell EXACTLY the same way they do you end up in conflict and I don’t like conflict if I can help it. So bottom line, there are pros and cons to having many same type crews.

Just depending on some people (and their crews) My comments would cause a backlash, just because, but not limited to, the fact that they thought I was bashing.
See, I’d join a crew that handles conversations like this blog has. But some people(and their crews) delete any comment that doesn’t specifically endorse or support their view!
