Tonight, thanks to Changingto18, I found an old friend of mine. Back in the 90’s NASCAR.com used to have a chat room that was open 24/7. There were a bunch of us who used to hang out there night after night, chatting about all kinds of things, but mostly NASCAR. There was @%, a doctor from Duke University, stp43fan, a picture framer from Indianapolis, Beth4thePrince, my lil sis from Tennesee and oh so many more. I can remember them, just not their names.
Well, tonight changingto18 invited pawleys into a chat we were having on Yahoo. He called her by her first name and my response was. My very very best friend was named that, but her nickname was Beth4thePrince. Well, she immediately knew who I was and where I was from. See, we lost touch and it turns out we had been looking for each other all these years (10) but didn’t know how to find each other! Also turns out we had talked TO each other in blogs!! We had even commented on each other’s pictures! AND we joined the community round about the same time. We just spent 2 plus hours trying to catch up. There’s 3 hours difference between the east coast where she is and the west coast where I am. That didn’t use to stop us back then, but now we are all grown up and have families (did you know she married her high school sweetheart?)
Anyway, the idea we had was, if WE found each other, maybe there are others out there in the community who might rmemeber those good old days and the old chat room. My name used to be Jade. You know what hers used to be. Surely we can’t be the only ones around that have been here that long??? So what d’you say? Let us know! We want to hear from you! I’m creating a crew for the chatters from the 90’s. If you fit into that category, we’d love to have you!

That is an awesome story. Good for the both of you. Its kind of like running into one your old friends at a place that you would never expect. And usually its in the same neighborhood.
