I have a seven month old kitten I named Jr. He is by far the most affectionate, friendly and adaptable cat I have ever had, and I’ve had a few. He loves to hang around our shoulders like a live scarf. Yesterday morning he wanted out, so I let him (he prefers the great outdoors to do his business) but I called for him not long after. He didn’t come.
He came home finally about an hour ago, with a broken hip or leg. I can’t tell although he quietly stayed still while I tried to gently feel for a break. It’s a holiday, so none of the Vets will help. If I bring him in tomorrow, they will come in to look at him, but I guess they think he’s just a cat and therefore the best thing would be to just put him down. I can’t do that. I love him too much. So, here’s my request. I know he’s just a cat, but please, all my friends out there, include him in your prayers tonight. Hopefully he will make it thru the night and tomorrow I can get him checked out. Thank you, I appreciate it.

Pawleys and Harpo. We are keeping a vigil for him…. we live in a small town and there are not 24 hour vets. On a holiday the call out is an automatic $250, which I would pay, tonight, but they won’t come in until tomorrow, and I still pay that. I just have to believe he has a will to live. He is soooo sweet, I have to believe that. Thank you to all of you!!!

I appreciate the advice. He ate as soon as he got home, so hoping that is a good sign. He’s sleeping now, peacefully, it seems, so hopefully all will be good.

Of course!! I will pray for little JR. Tell him Sugar Bear sends hugs. LOL Is there not a 24 hour vet around anywhere? I hope he is ok. Keep us posted.

I’m so sorry to hear this. I wiil pray for the best and just a reminder in case the vet didn’t tell you don’t give the kitty any food or water after midnight incase they have to sugery.
