Well, it's a beautiful day in the neighborhood!

Friday July 18, 2008 @ 09:01 AM EDT

I sure miss MR. Rogers, too bad he left us down here on this place!
Anyhow, the sun is shining, the sky is blue, the grass is growing (although I had to water it!) and all is well here. My dogs are laying around, content and happy with their little furry selves, my hubby is working and should come home early….my son is asleep, my daughter and son-in-law are well….and life is good. Yesterday was payday, so by EFT, the $$$ is in the bank, God loves me and what else could a person ask for??? Jimmie is improving every week and actually competed well with MR. KB, the racers have a week off to rest…God is in control and I don’t have to be…YEA!, I am having a garage sale tomorrow so I can finally get all that JUNK out of my garage and my car will have its home back!...my mother and father-in-law, sister and brother-in-law and nephew got back from their cruise safely and no one got thrown overboard (that happens a lot lately!)...my mother and step dad are okay (although my mother is upset with me…though I will not let that ruin a perfectly good day, I will figure out that situation later!), I have made peace with the KB fans (mostly) and we are living in harmony! LOL!...had good talks with a few of my neighbors and they all seem to be doing well and surviving the cost of gas, the heat and the heated political circus that is going on. I have done almost everything on my “to do” list and have forgiven my husband for not having done all his “honey dos”—he works a lot of hours so I can stay home now!...so LIFE IS GOOD, GOD IS GOOD, and all is sunshine and roses…(well, not really but my outlook and attitude are EVERYTHING!) I chose to be happy, joyful and not letting trivial things get me down and anything that comes my way, I can get through it with help from my friend, Jesus! So, I sure hope everyone else is feeling chipper this day, it is FRIDAY, so enjoy your weekend and live each moment as if it were your last! MAKE IT A GOOD ONE!

    Yard sale? LOL!

Just for fun, write down everything your kids decide to keep or ask to keep! Then total up the dollar value. Just for fun!
We try to have a yard sale with friends. If it was up to my sone, we’d come home with more than we left with! surprised.png

    I see someone added "TAGS"

I hate those “tags” – most people use them to be mean…oh well, won’t mess up my day! If this is boring….then I will take boring any old day of the week. I would rather know that there is nothing exciting happening than something bad…oh well…cannot please everyone as the song goes…so you might as well please yourself. and remember that no news is good news, too! Take care all!

    I like this blog

because I can count my blessings rather than complain, defend, or just spout off. Well, here are mine: My best friend who lives in NY is coming down to visit this weekend. My family and I are healthy. All my bills have been paid and I have a few bucks left in the bank. My daughter is a good kid. My hubby is a good man (usually). smile.png My pets are all doing well, even the elderly ones. I have managed to stay on my diet this week.

    Things go better with coke

Things go better with coke cola. Things just go better with positive. The sky is shining and the sun is blue and the birds are barking here. LOL Just thought that might bring a little smile. Anyway I’m so glad your life is going so well even if you’re looking only at the positive. Positive is like a cure for what ails ya. Works for me.

This weekend might be a good time for me to clean my garage but I’ll never be able to put my car in it, because every time I clean it, my stepdaughter uses it for a storage building and then you can’t walk through it. lol Maybe I should wait for a while about doing that. lol Just a little humor here. It’s good for the soul.

To be on the serious side, my stepdaughter has recently been diagnosed with a brain tumor. All prayers appreciated.

Won't You Be Mine,, Could You Be Mine

“It’s a beautiful day in this neighborhood, a beautiful day for a neighbor.”
“Would you be mine? Could you be mine?”
“It’s a neighborly day in this beauty wood, a neighborly day for a beauty.”
“Would you be mine? Could you be mine?”
“I have always wanted to have a neighbor just like you.”
“I’ve always wanted to live in a neighborhood with you.”
“So, let’s make the most of this beautiful day.”
“Since we’re together we might as well say: Would you be mine? Could you be mine?”
    “Won’t you be my neighbor?”
“Won’t you please, won’t you please? Please won’t you be my neighbor?”

“Tomorrow, tomorrow, we’ll start the day tomorrow with a song, or two (one, two).”
“Tomorrow, tomorrow, we’ll start the day tomorrow with a smile for you.”
“Till then, I hope your feeling happy. Till then, I hope your day is snappy.”
“Tomorrow, tomorrow, it soon will be tomorrow, and be our day.”
“We will say a very happy tomorrow to you.”

“It’s such a good feeling to know you’re alive.”
“It’s such a happy feeling you’re growing inside.”
“And when you wake up ready to say, ‘I think I’ll make a snappy new day!’ ”
“It’s such a good feeling, a very good feeling.”
“The feeling you know that we’re friends.”

“It’s such a good feeling, a very good feeling.”
“The feeling you know that…” (tempo change)
“I’ll be back when the day/week is new, and I’ll have more ideas for you.”
“And you’ll have things you’ll want to talk about. I will too.”
