Crawfish etouffe recipe
1 lb crawfish
1 cup seasoning blend of chopped onions, green onions, bell pepper
4 Tbsp tomato paste
4 Tbsp flour
4 Tbsp butter
2 Tbsp lemon juice
2 cups water
Cajun seasoning to taste
Saute’ seasoning blend in butter until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Add flour and stir constantly browning slightly. Add tomato paste and blend well. Add water, lemon juice, cajun seasoning, and crawfish. Heat to boil. Reduce to simmer and cook 1/2 hour. Serve over rice or pasta.
You may substitute any seafood or meat with this recipe. Just make sure it is cooked thoroughly. Enjoy!
