answer to the blog....
when contact is made from the left rear of Tonys car, upon the right front of Regans car, I would have to say “forced” there. Smith did try to pass Stewart cleanly both on the top and bottom of the track, and only when Stewart (even his left side tires crossed below the yellow line while cutting off Smith) tried blocking Regan, was there contact. NASCAR totally missed this call in my book, and now has opened up a “can-of-worms” for clean finishes from now on at restrictor tracks. EVERYONE has learned from this experience, and now it will be checkers or wreckers when blocking goes on up front! It will be good for telivision, but terrible for owners and sponsors. The real guys that will pay are those running close enough to be “caught up” in the “shennanigans”.

Well
I guess it does matter to Nascar…I’ll assume they considered it a defensive move and Smith had to move to avoid contact…Tony was in front of him…It WAS a block,…you can’t push or force something behind you if you’re moving forward!

Either way
It was the last lap and Tony should not have been able to “block” to the point of pushing Regan below and then Tony win. THAT IS CRAP!!!!
