Why all the fuss? So we missed the pre race show. I am probably one of the biggest fans on here. And it didnt bother me that they showed a good ball game. Think for a second at those fans who are going through personal issues right now who cant watch. Those who are suffering from cancer or some other illness that prohibits them from watching.
Or our troops who are also fans out there fighting for our freedom. Or even those who are in places where there is no T.V. There is alot going on in our world today. There are some Nascar fans who are also baseball fans I am sure appreciated Fox showing the game. Besides its not like they werent gonna show racing at all.
Complaining isnt the solution. Because we all know that it falls on deaf ears. But to bring into the community is totally wrong. We already have enough drama without getting people stirred up over something that we have no control over. We do have control over the drama issue which is what should be addressed instead of why Fox showed the game. Sometimes its better to take a 3 or 4 second breather before you decide what you want to blog about. This way hopefully it will be something that will edify the community. Instead of something that will just tear it down.

I like my
car racing and all the pre-race festivities. We don’t have a half time or seventh inning stretch. All of our stuff is before the race.

I switched to the pre race channel early
and it was on. Then they went back to the game and came back to racing when it started. I thought over all they did a good job,I was stressing it for a bit there. They could of shown the rest of the game later(like Monday morning when we’re all at work like they do the races)but they did allright considering.

Not sure I agree
whether the Fox executives read the blogs or not, but I do know the guys on SPEED read them. I’ve heard them talk about them on RaceDay and Trackside.

This IS the place to express our opinion...
Blogs are our place to vent our opinions…good or bad…about the events taking place in Nascar. And when Fox televises baseball games instead of the race festivities people tend to get upset. And they do not always vent appropriately. But it is our way to let other fans know when the networks mess up so we can stay united and keep the doo-doo to a minimum! Sorry if you were offended by my earlier post, I “tried” to be polite about it!

I’m sooooo verrrry important and such a big Fan and sooooo verrrry significant to this community with my 10,000 views. Who are you to say what is and isn’t appropriate with your high and mighty “oh the humanity” point of view, this isn’t your little clique’s community anymore. Put on your sack cloth and ashes to help the homeless and feed the hungry and nurse the sick who can’t watch the race, then go tell the people on the Oprah web site what to do. Better to post a blog than kick the dog!

I agree with you to a point. But there is also a way to vent. I didnt care to much for the way Fox handled the problem. But to come out and just bash on them is no way to be heard. Im not telling anyone to shut up. But if your gonna vent. At least do it with some sort of dignity.
