I’m not a road course fan by any means, I mean what is so thrilling about sitting in the grandstands, or in your recliner for that matter, and watch the cars go by at record speeds AND in a flash and then sit there and wait for it to happen again??? Who needs that???
And, where is “Cisco” (JPM, in case you didn’t know) at this huge “International” event/race? I thought he was a Big Star and the Champion of road course racing, where is he???
Someone told me that he’s getting ready for the race at Talladega. What’s up with that??? Is he having his own practice and qualifying sessions??? In my humble opinion, you either know how to drive or you don’t. So don’t tell me that you’re “Getting ready for Dega.” Sheeesh !!!
That’s my RANT for today, thanks for listening !!!

g'day
I love road races but thats probably because that is all we have over here.Don’t get me wrong I love the ovals as well but the road races tend to be a bit more exciting when your at the race track for that exact reason.. that you can’t see everything that is going on.And the anticipation builds when the racing is so close and the cars come back into vision and you have no idea who is going to come out in front it really is heart pumping.I don’t know what it’s like at your tracks but over here they have giant screens around the tracks that show what is going on at other parts of the circuit. But I do know I will be up bright and early to watch the race. cheers

Someone
pointed out in a NASCAR.com article that Montoya ought to be in Mexico, this weekend, being the defending winner. Especially with the year that Chip Ganassi is having. For Montoya to post back-to-back wins in Mexico would have been great PR on both sides of the border. But then again, JPM would probably win by shoving teammates out of the way again.

Wait a minute...
Zipping by at record speeds? Are you talking road course or plate track?
Super speedways are just that! Watching cars go by at record speed and then …nothing! You wait for them to come back around. The bad part is, the track is so big, you can’t see them until they come back buy again.
Now road courses do have a little bit of a straight away, but usually smaller than a short track’s.
I like the idea that you can get ahead by being able to brake, downshift, get back in the gas and shift better than anybody else to get ahead.
Now, thats how you test somebody’s talent!
But to each, his own!
