It's one of the reasons
why you don’t see drivers jumping on the roofs of their cars anymore. They’d fail post-race inspections from that too.
Parts failures happen. Stuff gets adjusted during the race. People who were supposed to tighten a bolt (ask Carl about that one) don’t do their job. It’s not usually cheating. It’s usually a mistake, but it’s still a rule violation. Unintentional violations. That’s my opinion. I’m sure some will think otherwise but they are so adamant about this new car and the rules, I doubt many are looking to purposely cheat anymore. It’s too costly.

cheating or not?
i don’t think newmans team was cheating , but why a 25 point penalty when a lot of other teams had a similar infraction and got docked 100 points and suspensions?NASCAR needs to keep the penalty’s in line.

No cheating there...
Sometimes during a race springs and such can be adusted not just right. Ever see how fast the pit crew works? This infraction did not cause Ryan to place any higher in the race. That was due to what was happening at the end of the race. Anyways, some teams do know what they are doing to cause the car to go faster and some, it happens while they are racing or even during the pit stops. Thanks
