Yes he was booed…and he is, as always, very respectful…and kind, and so for a number of reasons did not do our back flip. He did the last lap backwards for Alan, he respected the accident today and felt it was not appropriate to flip…and felt bad about what happened with Clint. This is what has made me such a huge fan of Carl…not only because he’s a good driver…but he is a good human being in his heart. He shows no ego in my opinion….and he showed his respect to Scott & Alan tonight..and his fans booed him. But I didn’t, not after I heard why..which I kind of figured out anyway. It’s been a long wait…but all of us die hard NasCARL fans knew he’d be back…and his win was the only thing I had to at least crack a smile about after this tragic day. Even I could not be as excited as usual…so I totally understand Carl’s actions at the end. Thank you Carl, and God bless & be with Scott’s 2 sons & wife tonight….

Always A Class Act!
Carl is just the neatest guy when it comes to these things, and fans that boo are just morons. That was probably very hard for him
because it’s so much a part of his routine…

I think he was booed because he didn’t do his normal back flip, and the fans didn’t realize why until after his reasoning why.
That is true respect, and i am not really a Carl Edwards fan, but I myself missed his normal flip. My nick name for him is “FLIPPER”,but i got tears in my eyes when he spoke after the race and explained why.

I agree,
Carl is not my favorite driver but if i had a #2 driver thats who it would be.Anyway…in my opioin he is a good person and always respectful.
