Have you ever thought about who really ever reads your blogs? Or if anyone ever does—seeing that some blogs don’t get comments or even flag/ratings?
I never really think about it. Usually I just think about my buddies/friends reading them when they see my name beside it, because those are usually the people who leave the comments. Sometimes new faces might pop up and a new friendship might occur, or its someone who disagrees or whatever.
But, sometimes you never know. You never know who is really reading them. You never know what kind of influence you might have on someone. You never know what might be sparked from something you have posted.
Why am I writing this you may ask? Well really it’s for two reasons. One, is personal, and the other is just me thinking out loud about things here in the community.
Last night I ran across a blog about something I had already posted earlier in the week. Since I posted the blog on a crew page I had not went back and check it for comments, so I posted a comment on the blog, not knowing someone—the same person—had commented on my blog already. Thanks to a friend of mine, I was prompted to go check, what I thought was a repeat blog, for new comments and I found out that this person had read my blog and was writing theirs as a thank you and appreciation to me—in a way.
How did this make me feel? Very humbled because this person is a new member, someone I’ve never met. Also, very surprised at the same time. The blog I had posted was a measly few words with a link to an article for people to read more. But, someone from this organization that the blog was about saw it and wanted to express gratitude. I never thought that would happen. ( I am in no way tooting my own horn here. This is just an example.)
Again this goes back to my point of sometimes you never know. Do you ever think about the content of your blogs, or even some of the other blogs posted on here? Do you ever think about how what you say in your blog or what you post might influence someone? I never did, until now.
Think of how many members are in this community—I really don’t know the number exactly. Think about how many new fans and members join this site daily or weekly. Something you say in a blog might change someones mind about something. Or it may inform them of something they didn’t know. Or, as much as I’ve seen it lately, it may anger them. So, sometimes we never know. Yes, it is true, sometimes others opinions can influence others.

Life experience
How true it is that we can have an influence on other people’s lives or have them influence or make a change in our own life.

Jen, a person
never knows the impact they will have on anothers life. People come and people go, but what they write down (thanks to internet and places like) will live on.

I enjoyed this blog a lot. We all should be asking ourselves the questions you posted and act accordingly.

BTW, glad you got over your writer’s block.

Great Blog
We should alway remember that anyone could be reading what we say on here. So we should never post anything that we would not want to have our grandmother or kids read. I have been reading blogs for along time, but just started replying. I like reading blogs from people that like to talk about racing as adults not alot of 2nd graders. But I do like to have fun with it give friends a hard time about their driver you know that kind of thing, but never be mean and hatful.
