more money, more cars
i agree that those who need to qualify on speed, qualify one right after another. the problem that has come up is there are more cars trying to qualify. before this year, who cared if morgan shepard went home? now it’s dale and michael, and NAPA and UPS. some of the larger tracks may be able to handle more than 43 cars. some teams may need to merge to make sure they are in the top 35… or should it be 25? the bottom line is no one wants to see dale, jr. go home because he blew a tire during qualifying, so there needs to be some type of guaranteed qualifiers.

Changes Need Made
There are a number of things that need tweaked with the qualifying process. Having the go/go homers qualify together is just the start.
