My Qualifying order suggestions, What's yours ?

Thursday May 24, 2007 @ 09:42 PM EDT

What I would like to see is the random qualifying order removed from NASCAR Qualifying and instead replace it by taking the Official last Race Results to determine the qualifying order.

Take the last race results as the qualifying order and any cars that did not qualify the previous week, qualify all of them at the end of the qualifying session. Usually starting 1st in a qualifying session run is not good because of track conditions and time of day. Using the Official last Race Results would be like a “handicap” for the better cars forcing them to qualify first and putting cars that did not qualify the previous week, the so called Go or Go Home cars, running qualifying at the end of the session where usually you would see better track conditions, so that smaller teams would have a better chance of making the race. I would still keep the first 35 cars in the standing are guaranty entry into the race.

Any other suggestions for qualifying rules? Or do you feel the current rules adequate…
