And..
This must be an attack on Tony Stewart by ESPN. They know how he is, so they should expect him to do these thing and be perpared for it. But on the same note, I don’t think he did anything wrong. ESPN was at the wrong place at the wrong time.

By the way....
Jim Hunter has decided that NASCAR will not penalize Tony for his “outburst” on the air…but they have talked to him about this in the past and really dont want anyone to hear that kind of language on the air….lol…..please tell me this isnt a government operation…..lol

ah...What.
You’ve got to be kidding. ESPN get over it. Your a little fish in a big pond. You need to start doing what your suppose to do…thats televise sport events. Not the TV police. Thats NASCAR’s Job.

Oh, and....
Not using a 5 second delay, for editing purposes, is irresponsible and LAZY. There is no (valid) excuse…

I missed the incident
But agree wholeheartedly about ESPN’s (Commercial)coverage – and about the piston/valve graphic, and the aero-graphic. I soo had high hopes when it was announced that ESPN was getting a piece of the pie….now I just wish FOX had the whole thing.

Not ESPN......
Surely they would not stoop so low as to use their TV audience to perpetuate a grude because a driver has criticized their stellar performance in the past???..........say it aint so!!!

ESPN
Both practices were taped by ESPN. Practice #2 Aired during Busch Qualifying, and Happy Hour was aired after the Busch race. Neither were live, yet ESPN ran them unfiltered. Your telling me you can not edit? Sounds like a case of lets get a story by getting driver in trouble.

Agree
Unfortunatly, ESPN is cable and the FCC really doesn’t have jurisdiction over them. Since there wasn’t a reporter with a microphone in their hand, how was Tony to know that the camera had an open mic. In the story I read, they said that ESPN was taping on pit road for filler tape. Also, the spokesperson doesn’t believe they should have to use a delay because “we are dealing with professional athletes”, what kind of BS is that?
