Recap the ALL-STAR RACE (Poem mode)

Sunday May 18, 2008 @ 01:34 PM EDT

The All-Star race had finally come
Its where the stars came out after the sun
But first we had to see which special 3 would be among the stars
They had to finish first or second in their cars
The fan vote would also make the show
As long as he could still race and the car didnt blow
So we started off with Sadler leading the pack
But soon Carpentier was spinning on the track
A caution came out and most stayed in line
They could last till the half way caution and would be fine
Then the green flag flew
Cars kept getting lose out of turn 2
A.J. Allmendinger got lose under the 19
Elliot’s car was an ugly seen
There was no way now he could make the All-Star show
Even his chances as fan pick were blown
So the door was open for anyone who would answer the call
Some people stepped up and ruff racing was all you saw
Finally the 20 lap shootout was here
Just finishing 3rd was the fear
At the site of the checkered flag it was the 84 and 77
You bet those guys felt like they were in heaven
Kasey Kahne was to represent NASCAR nation
And we were about to feel a wonderful sensation
So we started the All-Star race with driver intros
Time to start another exciting race at Lowes
Kyle and his crew got on stage and took a bow
You had to hold your ears cause the boos were so loud
Ned Jarrett started the last race for his son
That was after he climbed in the UPS truck and took a spun
Kyle Busch was on the pole
And once he took off there was not a sole
The Biff and some others were coming fast
Don’t forget Kasey Kahne started dead last
Kyle dominated as the first caution flew
Pit strategy would prove to be the clue
Kyle started to lead section 2
Again he took off and flew
Some only took 2 tires on the last stop
But 4 tires brought Jr to the top
Soon Kyle started to come back
He was now running slower then most of the pack
2 cars from the showdown were up in the top 10
But as the half way flag flew Princess was Carl’s best friend
As we stopped the cars and had a 10 minute rest
Carl Edwards car now seems to be the best
Kyle’s crew was trying to figure out what was wrong
But if seems as if the problem would take to long
So as we started the last 50 laps
Carl’s car seems to fall way back
The 88 car took the lead and shot away too
Ohh yea of course to a sea of green and blue
Then Jr started to fall to the pack
On his bumper was Matt Kenseth’s yellow and black
Those guys fought really hard
But the lead was taken by the 16 car
Then THE BIFF pulled away
But last stop cautions had a major play
Everyone had to come down pit road
And the 9 team began to glow
The 9,ll and the 48 had a no tire stop
Everyone thought that plan was a flop
But to everyone’s surprise
They held their own with the 2 tire guys
The 88 took 4 tires and made a bad call
Denny Hamlin’s car was running great then the fall
So the 9 car took the lead and the 16 was in 2
And again the leader flew
There it was the 9 car would win the race
He had driven the fan pick to first place
It was history in the books
And the smile on Kasey’s face was a million dollar look
Also should give the 83 team some credit too
The pit crew challenge was won by the red and blue
Even though there was no cautions All-Star weekend did not let us down
It was for us fans so we can not frown
This wonderful weekend is now the past
This is truly a memory that will last!
