Here is a great article on the cost of gas and the effects on Nascar and their drivers and of course…the fans. This was published may 8th and gas has went up even more. Here in my home town gas is $4.16 a gallon for regular unleaded. How long before nascar has to think about cutting back or even eliminating some races? Here is the link..

Well
I fear for the smaller local tracks. Around my area they are so few & far between anyway. I look for the one that we race at to go under b/c already the car count has suffered….us for one instance, we can’t afford to race like we use to anymore. Yeah, it’s the smaller tracks that will be closing at this rate.
