I have a good life…..made in the shade if ya really wanna know…….I do what I want all day every day……‘cept when I have to go into town…….but I deal with that LOL! Normally my day starts with coffee and cigarettes for awhile, then I yank on a pair of overhauls and go outside, pet my big ol dawg and climb up on the tractor to make the 1/4 mile trek down my dirt road to the blacktop to get the newspaper and the mail. I look to see how many deer crossed the road and what other tracks might be there while the dawg runs ahead of me sniffin and trakkin and markin his territory………..I know every spot he’s gonna stop at. Now, I dont know about you but thats a pretty cool way to start the day! So, today i get to the road and grab the newspaper outta the tube and open the mailbox……nuthin unusual til I pull out this big white priority mail pkg. out…I aint ordered anything so its a big surprise and i wonder…what the hell?? I look at the address thinkin it is probly a mistake and I nearly fall over when I read who its addressed to:
To: Grizzly Adams
c/o Ronny and Lisa 68SSCamaros
Absolutely too freakin funny……I called the dawg over to share in the experience…he sniffed the pkg. but when he realized it wasnt somethin he was goin to get to eat it he lost interest and went back to his rat killin (literally sometimes hahaha) so after composin myself I look at the return address…it says:
“Bama”
Talladega, Alabama
Then I knew…..it was from 29dntc9 and I laughed even more……it was a 4 cd set called: Stock cars of the 50’s and 60’s…..absofreakinlutely too damn cool
Now , what i really would have liked to have seen is the look on my mail carriers face when he was sortin mail for his route today……….and how much more funnier the postal workers will look at me next time i go in to mail somethin hahaha
If you think you cant make real friends over the internet I have to tell ya yer wrong……this was so freakin awesome of 29 and I just wanted to say a public thx to my Buddy. So if you think this is half as cool as I do then please leave a comment …..not for me but for 29dntc9 for makin my normal day a whole lot better than it could have been….and for showin us all what an awesome member of this site he is
