That was a good piece of entertainment. One of the few races that has stuck out at me this year and I’ll remember for a good long while. Except it wasn’t really the race that was memorable. It was the lap leading up to the green flag and the lap following the checkered flag that were hilariously dramatic.
First-What was Jr thinking passing before the starting line? Has anyone seen or read a post race interview with him where he gives an explanation? Even my spouse who is a Jr fan had to laugh. What the heck was that?
I am so happy it wasn’t my driver. I’d have to go in to hiding for a couple weeks at least. My friends would raz me unmercifully, they’d probably NEVER forget about it if Harvick had done it. So sorry Jr fans but that was a bone headed move that I’ll be laughing about for a good long while.
Next-Kyle and Carl,that was entertaining as all get out too. I certainly wasn’t shocked to see Edwards use the classic bump and run to push the points leader out of his way. It is his trademark in the Nationwide series this year. I’m not surprised Kyle tried to give it back either. Gotta give Edwards props though,he hung on to it and kept the position.
I thought Kyle’s post race interview was amusing too,“you know Carl’s going to say he didn’t mean to”. LMBO Edwards must of seen the interview because that wasn’t his story this time. He said he’s driving Kyle the way Kyle drives him. Didn’t Kyle say the same thing in his piece? So how’s Kyle the whiner?
As far as penalties go-I’d say no harm no foul. It was darn good t.v. and one should of canceled out the other one. Now if it had just been Kyle then I’m sure he’d of got reprimanded at the least. Carl should of left well enough alone but being he retaliated back then I don’t see how Nascar could hit one with penalties and not the other. So in that case,I say dock them both all their bonus points,level out the playing field and let the chase begin.

Kyle Busch
Ok, im a huge Kyle Busch fan. but i think that what he did was childish and not racing. He cost himself the championship just because he didnt like a race move that is completely legal and he couldnt settle with second place. If he just settled with what he got and delt with it like a man then he would still have a chance at his first championship, but no he wanted to be a child. Im still a huge fan but i think that he could have delt with it ALOT better than he did.

Too Harsh of a punishment
I think that taking away both Kyle and Carl’s bonus points is a rediculous penalty. It is way too harsh of a penalty, so I think probabtion was the best way to handle the situation.

one other thing
Bush is a whiner because he had to go and start name calling. Sorry but if name calling comes in then somebody is whining. And Bush is the last driver out there who should compare another driver to animals when he looks like a beaver. Kyle the Beaver Boy Bush is what we should call him.

Kyle Busch is the biggest baby! How can he blame Carl Edwards for what happened at Bristol, when he has done the same thing this year himself! When Kyle does something he says it’s just racing, but when someone else gets the better of him it a big deal. Whine, Whine, Whine!!!!!

U ask y kyle is the whiner because he’s got to be the most self centered losers of alltime it’s never his fault when something happens is it now? Hair on carl for saying his piece CRY BABY BUSH isn’t the only one who can say that stuff! His brother is a gem of the earth compared to him any day of the week!

Passing before the start line.
That rule is not well know; and I would bet that 98% of the people that watched that race, had no idea that passing before the line on the start of the race was not allowed, 1% actually knows the rule and the other 1% don’t want to admit that they didn’t know it was a rule.

Lets boycot nascar until the excitement is back
We need to start boy cotting nascar if they keep trying to stop all the excitement.why pay all the money to go see a race that you no they are not going to be any excitement bacause nascar will not let them race. This is racing and this has gone on for years and years. Since Sr got killed they have no one to run nascar so they just do dum @%. This is what makes fans watch racing. They were nothing done wrong if nascar dont stop there silly @% we need to run a nation wide boycott until they let them race. I dont watch half of the races I use to watch when Sr was alive thats when it was nascar now its if you dont race like we tell ya then we will put you on probation so you cant even try to win until you get unchained. Its not any fun watching any more and when the excitement starts to pick up nascar puts a stop to it BULL

Because he was whining about Carl and the bump. Not complaining but whining like my 4 year old sister. Not to mention hes bumped other drivers to win. What makes him so special that he can bump drivers but they can’t bump back? I’ll tell you. Nothing.

Excellent blog! I wasn’t home and of course, the best race of the year so far just happens to go down that night. I saw Harvick give Gordon a little bump, or Gordon get loose and bump Harvick; which one I’m not sure since they don’t like to mention Harv too much. Time to ask for DirectTv for Christmas.
