29thebomb's blog

Not another one

Wednesday August 20, 2008 @ 09:31 PM EDT

I was mulling over writing this blog today not even thinking about the penalties being announced. Sorry! If you’ve allready O.D’d on the subject better stop reading now.

On the way to work Ozzy came on the radio,I usually will switch the station, but listened to it today. He preaches “it’s not how you play the game-it’s if you win or lose”. I so disagree with that and feel the exact opposite is true. It’s not if you win or lose that’s important-but how you play the game.

Even in Nascar,I’d rather root for a team with integrity. I’ve never thought Richard Childress was anything but a true honorable southern gentleman. That’s why I’ll stick with his team through thick and thin, good years and bad. I know when a win comes,it’s from hard work. Blood, sweat and tears to so speak.

I believe Gibbs is true to his word also. I honestly believe it was not wide spread cheating in his company. I think heads will roll because “papa” is furious that someone put his company in the embarrassing situation. Of course my spouse says I’m naive about this issue, that everyone cheats in Nascar.

Folks need to make up their minds too. First it was-it had to be the drivers because let’s face it they probably were not running the race that way and the cars are not touched after the driver climbs out. Now it’s-how dare they accuse the drivers? So which is it going to be kids?

I can’t believe there are that many people who work at Gibbs willing to incur the wrath of the boss. I have allways heard how good they treat their employees, returning the loyalty of hard work and putting their families first.

Now back to the drivers-I can see a driver on his way out the door to a different manufactor not having the same kind of loyalty as someone who’s bread is still being buttered there. I can also see a young pup driver fresh to the system being influenced by an older champ who he may look up to.

I can also see it all being a master ploy by Nascar to keep us all puppets on a string and Toyota in the limelight.w00t.png
